Metalab provides Soupcam. This policy explains how the app and this website handle information. Contact: yuan-gou@outlook.com.
01Photos and local processing
Camera images and photos you choose to import are developed on your device. Metalab does not receive these images, and Soupcam does not send photos to the advertising service. The private roll stores finished images, thumbnails and information such as date, dimensions, source and save status. No account is required.
02Permissions and deletion
Camera permission enables shooting; photo-library add permission enables exporting. Importing uses Apple's photo picker. Change permissions in iOS Settings. Originals are not retained in Soupcam's private roll. Delete images within the roll or uninstall the app to remove its local library. Exported copies and any device backups are managed separately through Photos and Apple's settings.
03Advertising and privacy choices
This change starts with version 1.0 build 39. Earlier builds use non-personalized ads and may show regional consent forms; where available, their Ad privacy settings let you revise those choices. Update the app to use the new approach.
The free version uses Google AdMob limited banner ads in the roll. No tracking permission or advertising consent popup is requested. Google may process IP addresses, ad interactions and diagnostics, and use storage for fraud prevention. Pro removes ads. Photos stay on this device.
Advertising personalization and publisher first-party IDs are disabled. Google LLC provides the advertising service; its privacy policy is linked below. Limited ads still involve data processing for delivery, security and service operation, including fraud-prevention cookies or local storage when programmatic limited ads are enabled. Pro removes ads but does not erase data previously processed by providers. Contact Metalab for privacy requests.
04Purchases
Apple handles payments. Soupcam uses verified StoreKit transactions to check Pro access and restore purchases. Metalab does not receive your payment card details.
05Support and this website
If you email us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send and use them to answer your request. This site contains no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. The hosting server may process IP addresses and request logs for delivery, security and troubleshooting; its configuration controls retention. Following an external link is subject to that service's policy.
06Retention, providers and your choices
Local photos remain until you delete them or uninstall. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle requests and applicable obligations; email us to request access, correction or deletion. Rights depend on your location. Google and Apple manage their own retention and may process information outside your country under their policies. We do not operate a photo-upload service or separate analytics SDK.
07Children and updates
Soupcam is not specifically directed at children. Contact us if a child has sent us personal information. We may update this policy as the app changes; the date above identifies the latest version.
