Quick answers for setup, timer behavior, custom settings, and Pro purchase restoration.
Enable the Safari extension
- Open Browser Pomodoro Timer from the Applications folder.
- Select “Open Safari Settings”.
- In Safari, open Extensions and enable Browser Pomodoro Timer.
- If prompted, allow webpage access so the extension can display break reminders.
Add the timer to Safari’s toolbar
In Safari, choose View > Customize Toolbar, then drag the Browser Pomodoro Timer icon into the toolbar.
Use custom timer settings
Custom work and break durations are a Pro feature. Open the extension settings from the toolbar. Without an active Pro purchase, these controls remain disabled.
Restore a Pro purchase
- Sign in to the Mac App Store with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
- Open the Browser Pomodoro Timer app.
- Select “Restore Purchases”.
- Reopen the extension settings after restoration completes.
Restoring a purchase made with the same Apple Account does not charge you again.
Timer or break reminder does not appear
- Confirm the extension is enabled in Safari Settings.
- Allow the extension to access the current website.
- Reload the webpage, then start a new session.
- Quit and reopen Safari if the toolbar timer is not responding.
